Chestnut honey

Chestnut honey is a reddish-brown, dark honey with a delicious nutty taste. As the name suggests, this honey is made with the nectar from the blossom of the chestnut tree.

Chestnut honey is perfect for lovers of a strong but not too sweet honey. It gives a slightly bitter aftertaste. It is delicious on wholemeal bread in combination with cheese, fruits and nuts! This honey crystallizes rather slowly and therefore remains liquid for a longer period of time.

Our European chestnut honey comes from abroad, mainly from the Mediterranean.
